    MATCHING GIFTS

    Many companies allow employees the opportunity to multiply the impact of their contributions through matching gift programs. Check to see if your company sponsors a matching gift program.

  • Giving of long-term appreciated securities can be more tax advantageous than giving cash. Capital gains taxes can be avoided on gifts of appreciated assets.

  • If you are 70.5 years of age or older, you can make a qualified charitable distribution of up to $105,000 directly or use your Required Minimum Distribution to the Confluence Center of Colorado from your traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to avoid reporting income and paying tax on the distribution. Talk with your IRA custodian about their procedures and guidelines for making a qualified charitable distribution.

  • Enterprise Zone Tax Credit

    Contributions to Confluence Center of Colorado qualify for Enterprise Zone tax credit for up to 25% tax credit on state income taxes for a donation of $250 or more. Please email Rusty Lloyd at rlloyd@riversedgewest.org for an Enterprise Zone certificate with the last four of your social security number or tax ID number.

    Child Care Contribution Credit

    The Child Care Contribution credit allows you to take a 50% tax credit on state income taxes. To learn if your contribution qualifies for a Child Care Contribution credit please email Jenn Moore at jmoore@eurekasciencemuseum.org.
